“The most celebratory rapper we have in the country right now…”

Earmarked a rap prodigy since dropping his breakout single “000000” in late 2015, Midas.Gold is a name that continues to go from strength to strength, accruing a string of industry accolades as he sets himself for global domination.
With over a million online streams and video views, national radio play and global blog attention already under his belt, the Brisbane-based artist, born and raised on the West Coast of the United States, has started off 2018 with a bang.
His latest single, ‘Poppin’ a catchy, up-tempo number, entered the Spotify Australia Viral Charts over the summer while scoring continuous support from Triple J. This lead to the rapper being one of a small group of Australian acts selected on the inaugural JVMANJI Festival line-up alongside iconic hip-hop names Lil Wayne, Metro Boomin and Wale – a performance acclaimed by live music stalwart What’s Lively.
This comes off the back of a successful second half of 2017 where Gold showed his prowess at BIGSOUND – entering the showcase week as one of the most buzzing names on the program with hit single ‘Location’ – and ending it by signing with esteemed bookers 123 Agency, as the only hip-hop act on a roster that includes Tash Sultana, Kingswood & Ocean Alley.
Labelled the “baddest man in the game” by Triple J Unearthed Music Director Dave Ruby-Howe, Midas.Gold has won support from influencers and platforms ranging from MTV & Rage to Apple Music & Red Bull Music Academy, and has shared stages with Danny Brown, The Underachievers and Tkay Maidza – all sure signs of a career on the verge of something truly special.
Despite a heavy presence on the road over the warmer months with Ecca Vandal, Ivan Ooze, 360 and his own headline run; Midas is set to release his sophmore project in 2018, the first body of work since “For What It’s Worth” took the country by storm and proclaimed his arrival.
“Midas.Gold delivers bass-heavy hip-hop that’ll stand tall on club dancefloors all across the globe…”HighSnobiety
