“Set your mind a haze, find new feelings, explore old ones, resolve problematic ones. Wander, explore, find, and create. The best thing to learn about is yourself, before anything else…”

After emerging onto the Melbourne music landscape in early 2015 with debut single ‘Neptune,’ Gaiamusic immediately drew comparisons with the likes of Flying Lotus and Planeté from music media. Since then, listeners have been treated to only a minimal taste of what the reclusive producer has in store for his eagerly awaited debut project.

An innovative, deep-thinking artist, Gaiamusic (real name Julian Welgus-Dillon) is prone to exploring themes of human emotion and spirituality throughout his works, often collaborating with other creatives to fine-tune the presentation and heighten the experience. Float, a stunning single and music video featuring close friend and collaborator Lakyn Haperi, was premiered by renowned tastemaker blog The Ripe to positive review

Select gigs at venues including The Worker’s Club and The Penny Black alongside names Evangeline and Nico Ghost have had crowds on their feet, engaged with the complete audio-visual experience that is a live Gaiamusic show. The most recent insight into the mind of the Footscray native was in September 2016; Reń –  an audio visual collaborative project with visual artist Sorcha Avalon Mackenzie, premiered at an exclusive screening 30 stories about the Melbourne CBD.

Having relocated to London in 2017, Gaiamusic is immersing himself in the nichè underground sounds of the city’s east as he puts the finishing touches on his debut EP.
